Iranian-Turkish Alliance Emerging

In my opinion, an alliance between Turkey and Iran is a final piece of the prophetic puzzle needed to unite all of the nations together as described in Ezekiel 38 for the Gog Magog invasion of Israel. Events are moving very quickly.

Iranian-Turkish Alliance Emerging

By Joel C. Rosenberg

On October 19th, I wrote a weblog entry entitled, “Turkey Turns On Israel.” That dynamic is now accelerating. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan (pronounced “Erdo’-wan”) is now in Tehran, embracing President Ahmadinejad, calling Iran’s tyrannical regime a friend, endorsing Iran’s nuclear program and international defiance, and continuing to denounce Israel.

This is a nasty development in its own right. It also is consistent with biblical prophecy. Ezekiel 38-39 indicates that in the “last days” Iran and Turkey (“Persia” and “Gomer,” respectively) will form an alliance with each other, with Russia and a group of other nations hostile to Israel.

What is the time of Jacob’s trouble?

Question: "What is the time of Jacob’s trouble?"

Answer: The phrase "the time of Jacob's trouble" is a quote from Jeremiah 30:7 which says, "Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it" (KJV).

In the previous verses of Jeremiah 30, we find that the Lord is speaking to Jeremiah the prophet about Judah and Israel (30:3-4). In 30:3, the Lord promises that one day in the future, He will bring both Judah and Israel back to the land that He had promised their forefathers. Verse 5 describes a time of great fear and trembling. Verse 6 describes this time in a way that pictures men going through the pains of childbirth, again indicating a time of fear and pain. But there is hope for Judah and Israel, for though this is called "the time of Jacob's distress" (NASB), the Lord promises He will save Jacob (referring to Judah and Israel) out of this time of great distress (30:7).

In Jeremiah 30:10-11 the Lord says, “‘I will surely save you out of a distant place, your descendants from the land of their exile. Jacob will again have peace and security, and no one will make him afraid. I am with you and will save you,’ declares the LORD.”

Also, the Lord says He will destroy the nations who held Judah and Israel in captivity, but will not destroy Jacob completely. However, it should be noted that the Lord describes that time as a time of discipline for Jacob. He says of Jacob, “Though I completely destroy all the nations among which I scatter you, I will not completely destroy you. I will discipline you but only with justice; I will not let you go entirely unpunished.”

Jeremiah 30:7 says "that day is great, so that none is like it.” The only time period that fits this description is the period of the tribulation. This is an unparalleled time; there will never be another like it. Jeremiah 30:6 depicts a man going through the pains of childbirth. This is paralleled by other passages that liken the tribulation to birth pains.

Jesus similarly described the tribulation. In Matthew 24:6-8, He stated that the appearance of false christs, wars and rumors of wars, famines, and earthquakes are "the beginning of birth pains." We know this will be during the first half of the tribulation because the appearance of the beast/antichrist occurs at the midpoint of the tribulation (Matthew 24:15; Daniel 9:27; Revelation 13).

Paul, too, described the tribulation as birth pains. First Thessalonians 5:3 says, "While people are saying, ‘Peace and safety,’ destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape." This event follows the rapture and the removal of the Church, in 4:13-18. In 5:9, Paul reemphasizes the absence of the Church from this time period by saying, "For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ." The wrath spoken of here is God's judgment on the unbelieving world and His discipline of Israel during the tribulation.

These birth pains are described in detail in Revelation 6-12, birth pains which are the Lord's discipline designed to bring Israel back to Him.

For those who have received Christ as Savior from sin, the time of Jacob's trouble is something for which we should praise the Lord, for it is His demonstrating that He keeps His promises. Just as He has promised us eternal life through Christ our Lord, He also will fulfill His promises of land, seed, and blessing that He made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the form of covenants by giving those things to their physical descendants. But before He fulfills these promises, He will lovingly but firmly discipline the nation so that they return to Him.

Jews Have a Right to Worship on the Temple Mount!

Jews have a right to worship freely on the Temple Mount, says Rabbi Yuval Cherlow, head of the Yeshivat Hesder in Petach Tikvah. But they have more than a right to worship there, he says: They have a need to do so, because the Temple Mount – where the Holy Temple stood – is so much a part of Jewish tradition. And as such, preventing Jews from doing so is not just a matter of religion, but of basic human rights.

"The term 'struggle' as it relates to the Jewish desire to worship on the Temple Mount does not accurately describe the desire, the longing of Jews to ascend to the Mount and worship G-d," he writes in an article in a journal distributed by the Yeshiva. Rabbi Cherlow appeals to "lovers of truth and justice" to identify with that desire – as a matter of freedom of worship, a basic human right.
"The Jewish prophets teach us that Jerusalem's rebuilding begins not with bricks and mortar, but with the rebuilding – and reforming – of society," Rabbi Cherlow writes. "As the prophets said, 'Zion will be redeemed with justice.' Each time we restrain ourselves from parking in a spot reserved for the handicapped, rescue a poor person from financial injustice, or release an 'agunah' [a woman who is not free to remarry] from her chains, we rebuild the first layers of the Holy Temple, a place where lovers of justice and truth can join together," he writes.
Respecting others' freedom of worship is a part of the mosaic of truth and justice, according to Rabbi Cherlow: "Despite our differences of opinions in other areas, I appeal to you, those with whom I have worked on such issues, to support me now. There is nothing more dangerous than hypocrisy. The power of a moral stance is only strong when there is no hypocrisy, when it is untainted by political motives. It is effective only if it is straightforward and honest. Those who seek to advance the cause of humand rights and the basic elements of justice, but do not do so in an honest manner, cause untold damage to the cause of justice and ethics."
That logic applies when it comes to Jewish worship on the Temple Mount, he writes. "Those who fight for freedom of worship, but are quiet when Jews are shamed and bullied when they attempt to ascend the Mount, damage the cause of justice and morality. Those who claim that 'terrorists should not be rewarded' when it comes to a liberal cause, but here claim that we cannot ascend the Mount because of 'Muslim violence,' those who say that 'the time is not right,' but never seem to be able to find the right time, are committing terrible acts against the cause of justice – and still expect to be rewarded! This attitude is the same that disapproves of police violence only if you are the victim, or protests against freedom of speech when the people being kept quiet are the ones you don't like. This hypocrisy hurts us all, right and left. Anyone who does profess those values of fighting for truth and justice has an obligation to fight in this instance, as well."

Antique Book Contradicts Palestinian Heritage (or Name) in Israel

*
...A resident of Caesarea who is a lover of antiquarian books and Judaica found in Budapest an old book, in Latin, which had been written by a Christian named Reland, chronicling his trip in the land of Israel in 1695/6.

(Picture: Antiquarian book found in Budapest)

The writer, Reland, a man of many talents - a geographer, a cartographer and a philologist - knew Hebrew, Arabic and Ancient Greek, as well as the European languages, perfectly. The book was written in Latin. In the year 1695, Reland was sent on a tour of the land of Israel or, as it was then called, Palestine.

During that trip, he visited approximately 2500 places which had been inhabited and mentioned in the Bible or in the Mishnah (a collection of early oral interpretations of the scriptures compiled about A.D. 200.)... ...No settlement in the land of Israel has a name of Arabic extraction. The names of settlements are mostly of Hebrew extraction; some of Greek or Latin-Roman. In fact, no Arab settlement (except for Ramla) has had an original Arabic name to this day. Most names of Arab settlements are of Hebrew or Greek extraction which have been impaired and replaced by meaningless names in Arabic.

There is no meaning in Arabic for the names Acre, Haifa, Jaffa, Nablus, Gaza or Jenin and the names of cities, such as Ramallah, El-Halil and El-Kuds have no historical or philological roots in Arabic. In the year 1696, the year in which the tour was taken, Ramallah, for example, was called Beit El, Hebron was called Hebron and Mearat HaMachpelah was called El Chalil (a name for Abraham of the Bible). The land was, on the whole, empty and desolate; the inhabitants were few and concentrated in the cities of Jeusalem, Acre, Safed, Jaffa, Tiberius and Gaza. Most of the inhabitants of the cities were Jews, the others were Christian; there were very few Moslems, mostly nomadic Bedouins. Nablus (Schem) was different, with a population of about 120 people from the Moslem Natsha family and about 70 Shomronites. In Nazareth, the capital of the Galilee, there were approximately 700 people - all Christians...

It is interesting that Reland mentions all the Muslims as nomadic Bedouin tribes who arrived in the area as seasonal workers, in both agriculture and construction. In Gaza, for example, there were approximately 550 people; fifty per-cent of them were Jews, the rest Christians.

The Jews engaged in flourishing agriculture, owning vineyards and olive orchards and growing wheat (like in Gush Katif) and the Christians engaged in commerce and the transportation of the produce. In Tiberius and in Safed there were Jewish settlements, though their occupations, on the whole, were not mentioned. The only exception was fishing in the Kinneret – a traditionally Tiberian activity. A city such as Um el-Phachem, for example, was then a village of 10 families, all Christian, consisting of about 50 people; a small Maronite church was also mentioned. (The Shehadah family) The book totally contradicts the post-modern theory of "a Palestinian heritage" or a Palestinian people, and strongly supports the fact that the land of Israel belongs to the Jews and not at all to the Arabs, who stole the land, and the name Palestine, as well, stole from the Latin and still claim to possess even that.  Read it HERE

The Ultimate War...

The more I study the Word of Elohim Adonai, the more I see the importance of Israel in these last days...this tiny, tiny country, being sliced and diced even further by the satanically influenced world leadership, is pivotal to understanding what is going to happen very soon. From Genesis to Revelation, Israel is central to God's Plan. Why?

It all started with the rebellion of the most venerated created being in heaven: Satan--Lucifer...the Angel of Light, or Light Bearer. This creature held the highest honor in God's realm...that of being the covering angel. He literally protected or guarded God's presence. God IS light. Satan's raiment sparkled with precious jewels...can you imagine what that looked like in God's presence??!!! This being, created with a free will, just like we are, let his exalted position overcome his common sense. He became proud. His pride led him down the path to rebellion. In seeking to usurp the throne of God, he turned a third of the angels in heaven against their Creator with his lies and accusations. And when Elohim (plural Hebrew word : Aba-Father, Yeshua HaMashiach-Son, and Ruach HaKodesh-Holy Spirit=One God) instituted His plan to counter Satan's slander, Satan beguiled mankind into believing his lies. From Adam, through Seth, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and eventually Yeshua, the nation of Israel and what it stands for, has been the object of Satan's venomous and vicious attacks in an attempt to thwart God's ultimate plan of redemption. This is a WAR between a righteous, holy God and the satanic forces of evil. What gives us hope is that God is all knowing and has revealed the end to those of us who believe in and trust the Lord and refuse to join Satan's rebellion. And in the end, we know that those who have been created cannot win in a war against their Creator. Period. Let us, therefore, stand with courage and confidence in the righteousness of God and pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

IDF Defended for Safeguarding Enemy Civilians

CFI
Finally someone who speaks up for Israel and tells the truth! May he, Col. Richard Kemp, be blessed!

UN Human Rights Council, 12th Special Session
Debate on Goldstone Report
Geneva, 16 October 2009

Delivered by Col. Richard Kemp

See the Video Here
Thank you, Mr. President.

I am the former commander of the British forces in Afghanistan. I served with NATO and the United Nations; commanded troops in Northern Ireland, Bosnia and Macedonia; and participated in the Gulf War. I spent considerable time in Iraq since the 2003 invasion, and worked on international terrorism for the UK Government's Joint Intelligence Committee.

Mr. President, based on my knowledge and experience, I can say this: During Operation Cast Lead, the Israeli Defense Forces did more to safeguard the rights of civilians in a combat zone than any other army in the history of warfare.

Israel did so while facing an enemy that deliberately positioned its military capability behind the human shield of the civilian population.

Hamas, like Hizballah, are expert at driving the media agenda. Both will always have people ready to give interviews condemning Israeli forces for war crimes. They are adept at staging and distorting incidents.

The IDF faces a challenge that we British do not have to face to the same extent. It is the automatic, Pavlovian presumption by many in the international media, and international human rights groups, that the IDF are in the wrong, that they are abusing human rights.

The truth is that the IDF took extraordinary measures to give Gaza civilians notice of targeted areas, dropping over 2 million leaflets, and making over 100,000 phone calls. Many missions that could have taken out Hamas military capability were aborted to prevent civilian casualties. During the conflict, the IDF allowed huge amounts of humanitarian aid into Gaza. To deliver aid virtually into your enemy's hands is, to the military tactician, normally quite unthinkable. But the IDF took on those risks.

Despite all of this, of course innocent civilians were killed. War is chaos and full of mistakes. There have been mistakes by the British, American and other forces in Afghanistan and in Iraq, many of which can be put down to human error. But mistakes are not war crimes.

More than anything, the civilian casualties were a consequence of Hamas' way of fighting. Hamas deliberately tried to sacrifice their own civilians.

Mr. President, Israel had no choice apart from defending its people, to stop Hamas from attacking them with rockets.

And I say this again: the IDF did more to safeguard the rights of civilians in a combat zone than any other army in the history of warfare.

Thank you, Mr. President.

Between Samoa and Samaria

by Gerald A. Honigman
Follow Israel opinion on Twitter and Facebook.

While Pres. Obama is trying to forbid Jews from living in Judea & Samaria, his country still controls islands thousands of miles from the USA.

Recently, tragedy struck Samoa  in the South Pacific in the form of a tidal wave.  American Samoa is an unincorporated state southeast of independent Samoa.
As reports came in, I couldn't help but ponder the irony inherent in the use of the expression American Samoa.....
If Judea must be Judenrein, then every Arab in Israel should be sent packing.  Israel must be made Arabrein. Half of the latter are just waiting-- like vultures-- to pounce anyway... given the right moment.
It is truly time for equal treatment here. What's good for Jews must be good for Arabs.
Forget land for peace. It's a  bad joke--part of the Arabs' openly-admitted destruction-in-phases plan since 1967. Look at a map of the region. Is the problem really a lack of Arab land in comparison to Israel?
Peace for peace...Period.
No recognition of a Jewish State of Israel?

Then no recognizing a 22nd state for Arabs--and their second , not first, one in "Palestine".
Unlike Samoa to America, Judea and Samaria are literally a stone's throw away from Israel's heartland, are an integral part of Jewish history, and are positioned to allow a hostile army entering from the east to cut Israel in half.
Finally, and this can't be repeated too often...
Look at what came after Israel's total withdrawal from Gaza years ago  to see what a total Israeli withdrawal from  the "West Bank" will mean for Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Haifa, Ben-Gurion Airport, the Knesset,  and so forth once Israel has been forced back to the '49 armistice lines--not borders--imposed on it by the United Nations and which made it a mere 9-16 miles wide at its strategic waist, where most of its population, industry, and so forth are located.
And the next time you hear Washington insisting upon a Jew-free Judea and Samaria, please give a long, hard thought to American Samoa.
(Mr. Honigman's new book at makes its Washington debut at the Professors Fuad Ajami and Bernard Lewis's ASMEA Conference this month)

Glorious things are spoken of you, O city of God!

Psalm 87:1-3 NKJV

1 His foundation is in the holy mountains.

2 The LORD loves the gates of Zion
More than all the dwellings of Jacob.

3 Glorious things are spoken of you,
O city of God! Selah

After another busy day, I finally sat down to relax and watch some TV hoping to catch up on the latest news. My channel surfing stopped when I found a repeat Bill Gathier concert performed and filmed a few years ago in old Jerusalem. It's titled, "Israel Homecoming".

Perhaps some of you have seen it before. With the music, the scenery, the worship, and with the Biblical historical and future significance Israel will surely play in the days ahead, it's very moving - bringing tears to my eyes each time I watch it. If you have a love for those things, as I do, I would recommend getting the video. It's very well done. I have both the CD and the video.

I would love to have been able to visit there sometime during my life. As a Bible believing child of God, I have a love for Israel and the Jewish people. Just the thought of breathing the air Jesus breathed, walking on the ground where He walked, seeing the sights He saw, and savoring the sweet fragrance of the Holy Land in bloom, is more than I can imagine.

Also, seeing the places where He performed His miracles, the Garden of Gethsemane, Mt. Calvary, the Mt. of Olives, the empty tomb of our risen Lord, and so much more - not to worship or idolize those places, but to simply stand in awe of my Savior, Lord and Master, Who was there and will return again soon just as He said He would.

Praise God! Hallelujah! What a day that will be for all who belong to Him!

Until then, we must pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Ps. 122:6).

Psalm 61:1-4

Psalm 61:1-4 NASB

1 Hear my cry, O God;
Give heed to my prayer.
2 From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint;
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
3 For You have been a refuge for me,
A tower of strength against the enemy.
4 Let me dwell in Your tent forever;
Let me take refuge in the shelter of Your wings. Selah.

David prayed those words for strength and security, based on the comfort that comes from God and on the confidence that comes from His faithfulness to His promises.

The sanctuary that David prayed for is a place of protection and security he could not reach with his own strength.

God is that sanctuary and is pictured here as a refuge, a tower of strength, a tent, and a shelter of Your wings.

Just as it was with David, we don't have the strength to reach it on our own. However, He can be our refuge and shelter, but only after we place our complete faith and trust in Him. Do you trust Him today? Is he your refuge, your tower of strength, your tent, and your shelter? In these perilous times we all must be very sure.

Palestinian Memo: Hopes in Obama Evaporated

Psalm 130:7,8
Let Israel hope in the Lord: for with the Lord there is mercy, and with Him is plenteous redemption. And He shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

                                                                     Judean Hills

Taken from the Associated Press 10.13.2009
An internal document circulated among members of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas' political party says any hopes in the Obama administration "have evaporated."
The Fatah Party document accuses the U.S. of backing off from its demands that Israel freeze settlement construction and failing to set a clear agenda for new Mideast peace talks.
The memorandum was obtained by The Associated Press on Tuesday. It wasn't immediately clear whether the memo reflects Abbas' views or was intended to pressure President Barack Obama to bear down harder on Israel.
The document says the Palestinians have lost hope in Obama, and accuses the American leader of caving in to pressure from pro-Israel lobbyists in Washington.

Israel, US in Joint Military Exercise

10.11.2009
*
Israel and the United States, amid growing tensions with Iran, will simulate interoperability between missile defense systems this week during the biennial Juniper Cobra missile defense exercise.

The exercise, set to simulate a response in the event of war between Israel, the Islamic republic, Syria and Hizbullah, will begin on Monday and end on Friday. More than 1,000 American troops from the European Command in Stuttgart, Germany have deployed in Israel for the exercise - mostly in the Negev - in addition to some 15 missile ships, some of them carrying the Aegis ballistic missile defense system.

Adm. Mark Fitzgerald, commander of the US Navy's Sixth Fleet, will oversee the exercise alongside senior officers from EUCOM and the US Missile Defense Agency. On the Israeli side, the commander of the exercise will be the new head of the Israel Air Force's Air Defense Division, Brig.-Gen. Doron Gavish.

On Friday, Iranian cleric Mojtaba Zolnour, who is Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's representative in the Revolutionary Guard, said that if a US or Israeli missile lands in Iran, Iranian missiles will hit Israel in retaliation.

"Should a single American or Zionist missile land in our country, before the dust settles, Iranian missiles will blow up the heart of Israel," Zolnour was quoted as saying by the state IRNA news agency.

In March, Iran's deputy army chief made similar remarks, warning that his country would eliminate Israel if it attacked the Islamic republic.

"Should Israel take any action against Iran, we will eliminate Israel from the scene of the universe," Gen. Muhammad Reza Ashtiani said at the time in Teheran.

Ashtiani claimed Israel was "very vulnerable" and dismissed allegations that Iran was worried about Israeli maneuvers.

"Due to its special conditions, Israel is very vulnerable in the region," he said. "The aggressors will face a crushing response."

The Juniper Cobra exercise will include the Arrow missile defense system as well as three American systems - the THAAD, Aegis and PAC-3 - that will all be deployed in Israel for the duration of the exercise.

The purpose of the exercise, defense officials said, was to ensure that if there were a need, the Israeli Arrow 2 ballistic missile defense system would be capable of working with American systems that might be deployed here to bolster Israeli defenses.

Israel is in the midst of developing a multi-layered missile system that starts with the Arrow for long-range missiles; the David's Sling for medium-range missiles, that is currently under development and will be operational in a few years; and the Iron Dome to counter short-range rockets, which will be deployed along the Gaza border in the coming year.

According to some media reports, Juniper Cobra will involve limited live fire from the Israeli and US defense systems. Israeli defense officials would not confirm the reports, but said that it was possible that, following the exercise, the US would decide to leave in Israel some of the systems, most likely the Patriot PAC-3 defense system.

Expectations in Israel are that the US will deploy several Aegis ballistic missile ships - which are capable of intercepting ballistic missiles - in the Mediterranean and Red seas. Israel is already home to the advanced X-Band radar that the Bush administration gave as a farewell gift last October.

Teheran Vows to Blow up the Heart of Israel if Attacked

10.09.2009

*
IRAN would "blow up the heart" of Israel if it was attacked by the Jewish state or the US, a Revolutionary Guards official was quoted today as saying.

"Even if one American or Zionist missile hits our country, before the dust settles, Iranian missiles will blow up the heart of Israel," the IRNA news agency quoted Mojtaba Zolnour as saying.

Zolnour is a deputy representative of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in the elite Guards force.

Iranian officials have previously said Tehran would retaliate in event of an Israeli or US attack.

Earlier this year, a senior commander said Iranian missiles could reach Israeli nuclear sites. Israel is believed to be the only nuclear-armed Middle East state.

Israel has not ruled out military action if diplomacy fails to end a dispute over Iran's nuclear ambitions, echoing U.S. policy, although Washington is engaged in a drive to resolve the issue through direct talks with Iran.

The West suspects the Islamic state is covertly seeking to develop nuclear weapons, which Iran denies.

"The Zionist regime and the United States cannot risk attacking Iran," Zolnour said in the holy Shi'ite city of Qom, citing Iranian military and technological advances, IRNA reported.

The Australian, 20 Aug 2009 At talks in Geneva on Oct. 1, Iran agreed with six world powers - the US, Russia, China, Britain, France and Germany - to give U.N. experts access to a newly-disclosed uranium enrichment plant south of Tehran.

Kings of the East and Armegedon

This is an excerpt from The Omega Letter by Jack Kinsella

According to intelligence sources, some 300 Burmese military officers have been study nuclear science in Russia and one source stated that a North Korean ship carrying senior Korean nuclear technology specialist, Maj. Hon Kil Dong was sent to Rangoon in July 2006.

This information comes via the subscription intel website, Geo-Strategy Direct, compiled by Washington Times reporter Bill Gertz, one of the most plugged-in reporters in Washington and an extremely credible source.

"And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. . . And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon. . . And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. . . And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great." (Revelation 16:12,16,21)

When you consider that the Apostle John was attempting to describe something that did not exist in a language that had no words to describe it, John did an excellent job of describing the effects of a nuclear explosion -- right down to the hailstones. When a nuke goes off, the water vapor that rises to the top freezes in the upper atmosphere and comes back down in hundred pound chunks of nuclear 'hail'.

The Scriptures identify four spheres of global power in the last days by region as seen from the perspective of Jerusalem: the kings of the south, the antichrist's government to the west, the Gog-Magog alliance to the uttermost north of Israel, and the kings of the east.

The Scriptures don't tell us much about the Kings of the East, other than their location, their numbers (200 million soldiers) and that the battlefield will be marked by voices, and thunders, and lightnings, an earthquake of indescribable proportions, and giant hailstones.

But as we get closer to the time appointed, the picture begins to come into focus. The People's Republic of China , the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, India, North Korea, and now Burma. Asia is arming itself for Armageddon.

Note this, as well. We've noted in previous briefings that every modern event related to Bible prophecy can trace itself in someway to the birth of Israel in 1948.

The government of antichrist rests on his control of three central pillars of Western society -- a centralized global government, a centralized global economy and a centralized global religious system.

The revived Roman Empire was born out of the 1948 Benelux Treaty. The UN Constitution, "the Universal Declaration of Civil and Political Rights, was signed in 1948. The World Trade Organization was created out of the 1948 GATT Treaty, which also spawned the IMF and World Bank. The World Council of Churches was created in Amsterdam under UN auspices in 1948.

The invention of the transistor led to the official 'birth of the computer age' -- making centralized control of all these things possible, -- in 1948.

Finally, the Cold War, which set the stage for the Gog-Magog Alliance, officially began with the Berlin Airlift standoff between the US and Soviet Union in 1948.

Look up these nations in your encyclopedia: The People's Republic of China declared its existence in 1947. Pakistan declared independence in 1947. India declared independence in 1947. North Korea split from South Korea in 1948. And Burma declared its independence in 1948.

"Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled." (Matthew 24:34-36)

MY PRAYER…FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS

In light of the time in which we live, I felt led to write and share this fervent prayer with many.

The world situation is in turmoil, Israel is being threatened on all sides from nations that seek to destroy her, and nature itself is erupting as if it's also crying out with a warning of imminent danger.

Disease is all around us, moral values have all but disappeared, the economy is in shambles, sound Biblical priniciples are rapidly being abandoned and are being replaced by a godless society. People are hurting worldwide from floods, drought, famine, terrorism, sickness, death, and so much more. More than that, however, people need the Lord in their lives.

We as believers must pray, but we must understand that the power of our prayers won't be fully realized until we, ourselves, with a humble heart, bow down before Almighty God with our praise, thanksgiving, and petitions - asking forgiveness and totally surrendering to His Will for our lives.

Please join with me in prayer, perhaps adding your own prayer to this post, that we might storm the gates of heaven to seek God's forgiveness, deliverance, provision, and mercy.

Don

Dear Heavenly Father,

I thank You, I praise You, and I trust in You for who You are, for Your tender care and mercies, for watching over us, and for providing for our every need. Oh Lord, You are our Creator, You are in control of our very existence, and You know all of our thoughts and shortcomings.

But Father, in such a time as this we must humbly fall on our knees and bow before You. As a people and as a nation, we must repent and seek Your face as never before. Lord, we have failed miserably, we have forgotten to acknowledge You as sovereign in all things, and we have gone our own way – only to become lost and desperately in need of Your protective and guiding hand.

In such a time as this, we see evil all around us causing misery and destroyed lives. The foundations and principles on which our nation was established are being diluted and eroded. Our financial institutions are crumbling right before our eyes. Father, we see corruption and greed in all levels of our government. Your Ten Commandments for us are quickly disappearing from public view. Your Truths and our prayers in Jesus’ Name are no longer permitted in our schools – for they are considered offensive and exclusive. But at the same time, satanic, pagan religions are permitted and taught to the young minds who will one day be the leaders of our country.

In such a time as this our moral fabric has been allowed to deteriorate into a seemingly hopeless state with failed marriages, rampant homosexuality and immorality, the slaughter of countless unborn children, hate and violence in the heart and mind of men, and dishonesty is everywhere we look. Lord, it grieves me to know we have fallen so deeply into the pit of self-destruction.

Father, it brings me to tears when I learn that Your Holy written Word is now considered hate literature in many locations, and cannot be preached as it must be preached. Your precious gospel message of salvation is no longer the essential cornerstone for the Christian faith in many churches today. Teachings of repentance, judgment, born-again, accountability, the Way, the Truth, and the Life only through Jesus’ shed blood on the cross have been replaced with teachings of tolerance, love, feelings, self-esteem, sermons that don’t offend, and that many paths lead to heaven. People are dying Lord, and souls are eternally lost every day because they haven’t received the true gospel. May eyes be opened quickly to the everlasting Truth of Your Word.

In these times in which we live, we see nations planning to destroy each other – many diligently seeking the means and the opportunity to destroy even us as a people and nation. Father, help us to never become arrogant, believing that we would always be immune to a devastating attack on our country – either from outside our boarders, or from within. It’s only because of Your watchful eye and Your hand of protection that we’ve been allowed to let freedom ring. I fear that we as a people are no longer a God-fearing nation, but instead we have become a nation that has turned its back on You. We have abandoned the respect and reverence for You - Almighty God - and for the Biblical principles and values that once made our nation great. Lord, how long will Your patience endure? How long will Your cloak of protection continue to cover over us?

For such a time as this we must turn to You, we must lean on You, and we must renew our dependence and trust in You – and in You alone. Father, Your Word promises that if we would humble ourselves, if we would pray and seek after You, and if we would repent – turning away from our evil ways, then You would hear our cries of despair. Only then, will Your blessings be poured out on us again as You have promised – restoring us and healing our land.

I pray that we as a people and a nation will do that for such a time as this – all for Your glory. Forgive me, Lord, for I too have fallen short, and have not always lived a life that is pleasing to You. Help me in every way to bring honor to Your Name, for I love You and desire to do Your Will. I pray this and ask it in the matchless Name of Jesus, my Savior and Lord.

Amen!

Psalm 125

Psalm 125

1They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.
2As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.
3For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.
4Do good, O LORD, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts.
5As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the LORD shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel.

The key word here is trusting the Lord. The promise is God's protection for those who trust Him and for peace in Israel...an important connection...

A Dirty Little Secret

10.04.2009 From YNET news

*
Every time someone writes, speaks of ‘Palestinians’ a myth is reinforced. !!!!

The establishment of the State of Israel in 1948, the Nakba (catastrophe) for Arabs, and the aggression by five well-armed Arab countries, assisting local Arab gangs and militias that had been attacking Jews for years, placed Jews in Israel and the state in mortal danger.

Fighting back, Israel eventually negotiated an armistice in 1949 that allowed a respite from open war, albeit not terrorism, and without peace. The Egyptians occupied the Gaza Strip; the Jordanians occupied Judea, Samaria and the eastern part of Jerusalem, including the Old City and Temple Mount; Syria continued to occupy the Golan Heights, from which it constantly shelled Israeli settlements; all trained and supplied terrorists who raided Israel. The UN did nothing.

Arabs who left homes and property in Israel and many from other countries who joined Arab armies and did not want to return, remained in Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, most as "refugees" under the care of UNRWA.

This heterogeneous population was called "Arab refugees," not "Palestinians," because at the time there was no such group, or people.

One reason they were called "Arab refugees" was because there were many other refugees in Palestine, who were Jewish. Hundreds of thousands of Jewish refugees from Arab countries streamed into Israel. UNRWA offered no aid, although Jewish refugees had lost everything and the newly established state had few resources.

It took a crafty Egyptian, Yasser Arafat, to create the PLO with his friends to promote the destruction of Israel and the return of Arab refugees. Arab countries saw them as convenient proxies in their war against Israel, to "liberate Palestine."

Except for Jordan, no Arab host country permitted the newcomers to obtain citizenship; as temporary residents, their civil and humanitarian rights were harshly restricted.

The designation "Palestinian" did not become widely accepted until after the war in 1967, in which Israel, in self-defense, captured areas that had been assigned to a Jewish State by the League of Nations and Mandate, and then occupied by Arab countries: Judea, Samaria, and eastern Jerusalem; the Gaza Strip, Golan Heights, rich in Jewish history and archeology, and the Sinai Peninsula.

As the PLO launched mega-terrorist attacks around the world, "Palestinianism" became accepted, backed by the Arab League, Muslim and "non-aligned" countries, and the United Nations.

As the proportion of anti-Israel countries in the UN grew, "Palestinians" were given more and more recognition, support and legitimacy, unlike any other group.

And the fraud worked! It worked so well because the world's media accepted the Palestinians' self-definition and their cause. Even the Israeli media, politicians and jurists adopted this myth. Academics promoted "Palestinian archeology," "Palestinian society and culture." Every time someone writes or speaks of "Palestinians" it reinforces this myth.

‘Liberating Palestine’
Most major newspapers use only the term "West Bank" – a Jordanian reference from 1950 to distinguish the area from the "East Bank" – rather than its authentic names, Judea and Samaria, apparently to deny its Jewish history.

"Palestinian" came to mean Arabs who lived in Judea, Samaria and Gaza – as well as those in UNRWA-sponsored "refugee camps" in Lebanon, Syria and Jordan, and hundreds of thousands of "Palestinians" living throughout the world. By UNRWA's unique and controversial definition, anyone who claims to live or have lived in Palestine, and all descendents, forever, are considered "Palestinian," with full rights and privileges.

Spread among 58 "refugee camps" (in many cases entire towns) UNRWA's over half-billion dollar budget supports about 1.5 million "refugees in camps" and 5 million "registered refugees;" the total population is expected to reach 7 or 8 million next year, and growing.

As Palestinian nationalism spread among Israeli Arabs, the term became an identity magnet for Arabs on both sides of the 1949 Armistice Line – the "Green Line," as well as those living in other countries. Today, "Palestinian" can be anyone who for whatever reason identifies as such, including their children, grandchildren, etc.

This amalgam of national identity is possible because "Palestinian" is not a separate, unique linguistic, cultural, ethnic, religious or racial group. Nor does this motley group, currently led by Fatah and Hamas terrorist organizations, aspire to a country with clearly defined borders. Their goal is not statehood, but exterminating the Jews, thereby "liberating Palestine."

The success of "Palestinianism" is a tribute to what money, influence and Jew-hatred will buy and attract. That Jewish and Israeli media and NGO's support Palestinianism stems from liberal ideals of helping those who are less fortunate, the underdog, and even a genuine, although misdirected desire to live in peace, a supreme Jewish value.

Although there's probably no way to prevent the notion of "Palestiniansm" from spreading, there's no reason to ignore it, and less to accept it. Arabs of Palestine are entitled to civil and human rights in the countries in which they have resided for generations. That there needs to be a second Arab Palestinian state, in addition to Jordan, which was carved out of Palestine and whose population is two-thirds "Palestinian," and whether such a state will resolve all the attendant problems is extremely doubtful.

That the State of Israel should commit suicide to accomplish this goal is unthinkable.

The Feast of Tabernacles-Sukkot

This is the final high holiday of the Jews. It begins on the fifteenth of Tishri (Sept/October) which is Israel's seventh month, and ends on the 21st day of Tishri. It was to be an everlasting memorial of the wanderings of the Israelites in the wilderness, when God brought them out of Egypt.

In Leviticus 23:43  It says: That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

One of the things I found significant when researching about this particular holiday, is that it is thought to be the month when Yeshua was born.  Scholars who study the times, point to Hanukka, the Festival of Lights in December, as the time when Mary conceived Jesus of the Holy Spirit. Nine months later brings us to Sukkot, or the Feasts of Tabernacles.  It is significant that this feast is a time when observing Jews realize God is with them, just as He was with their ancestors.

1. Isaiah 7:14
Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold a virgin will
be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Emmanuel.
(God With Us)

2. Leviticus 26: 11,12
Moreover, I will make My dwelling among you, and My soul will
not reject you. I will also walk among you and be your God, and
you shall be My people

3. John 1:14
The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We
have seen His glory, the glory of the One and Only, Who came
from the Father, full of grace and truth..

4. Revelation 21:3
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold the
Tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them,
and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with
them and be their God.

Sounds like a pretty significant festival to me... perhaps one
we should keep our eyes on as Christians, after all, God made
provision for us to celebrate with His people in Exodus 12:49:
"One law shall be to him that is homeborn and unto the
stranger that sojourns among you."

Aren't we grafted in to the root? Chag Sameach Sukkot!!
